Watson Shield

The 2008 SSJCA Watson Shield side met at the picturesque Glenn McGrath Oval on Sunday morning to do battle with local rival St.George in what is traditionally a tough hit out the week before the season proper commences. This years’ Watson Shield squad is brimming with enthusiasm with a few new faces, the return of some old ones and most importantly all 12 players excited at the opportunity to represent their Junior Association alongside their peers.

Moore Shield

A very good start to our season with this convincing trial win against St George. Captain Hayden Smith and Keeper Jarryd Biviano did not play in this game due to Emerging Blues commitments so Jonathon Lamotta from the U14 Presidents Team joined us for the day.

• ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO ASSEMBLE AT THE GROUND WITH THEIR TEAM AT LEAST 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR ALLOTED TIME.
• A TEAM PHOTO PLUS AN INDIVIDUAL PHOTO WILL BE TAKEN SO IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BE ON TIME OR WE WILL RUN OUT OF DAYLIGHT.
• PLAYERS WILL NEED TO WEAR THEIR REP SHIRTS, WHITE LONGS AND CLEAN WHITE SHOES.

THE NORMAL PROCEDURE IS:

• THE PLAYERS ASSEMBLE IN THEIR TEAMS AT THE GROUND,
• THE PLAYERS ARE PRESENTED WITH THEIR CAPS,
• THE TEAM PHOTO IS TAKEN,
• THE INDIVIUAL PHOTOS ARE TAKEN.

To all those under 10’s who have nominated for the development squad, please note that the Grading Day is set for this Sunday, 26th October 2008.

Please arrive at the ground at 8:45am for a 9am start.

It is being held at Anzac Oval, Engadine.

We aim to finish between midday and 12:30pm.
